What is MyMedicare?

MyMedicare is a voluntary program that lets you nominate Octa Medical as your regular practice. Linking with us strengthens your relationship with our team and helps us deliver more personalised, continuous care.

You still need a Medicare card to access health services — MyMedicare simply links you to a preferred practice.

Why register with Octa Medical?

• Eligibility for longer telehealth consultations

• More coordinated care and follow-up from our nursing team

• Better continuity with the doctors you already trust

Who can register?

To be eligible, you must:

• Hold a valid Medicare or DVA card

• Have visited Octa Medical at least twice in the past 24 months (children under 12 months are exempt)

• ​

How to register

• Register online via our HotDoc form

• Use the Express Plus Medicare app

• Log in to your Medicare online account

• Or complete a form at reception — our team will help on your next visit

Why it matters

Changes to the Department of Health’s Chronic Disease Management arrangements mean that eligibility for some long-term care plans is now linked to MyMedicare registration. If you have a chronic health condition, registering with us is the easiest way to keep continuous, coordinated care under your existing GP team.
